So Mirva left for Great Britain yesterday. Yesterday was my angst day, not because of her, though. At least not much. (Sorry Mirva, it doesn't mean ur not important to me!)
It's really weird, not having her around. We used to spend all the pauses between classes together in the last period. It's just freaking weird.
Enough of angst. I felt like I could post a picture of my latest oil colour painting. This is actually the first one I've painted at home... No, wait, it isn't. I've painted one terrible picture of Santa in christmas time years ago and that one I won't be posting. I've been interested in colours lately and started with only colours and a misty forest in my head. Here's what I made out of it. (Sorry about the quality, the lamp reflected from the painting...)
Right now I have nothing more to say. My life is gonna be really boring since I have plenty of hobbies and I spend all days doing them. So I'll step back and start waiting for Mirva's first post from England!

Walking on a wild side
I live in a country-side, and our "garden" is something like one hectare, and our nearests neighbours live maybe few kilometres away.
The day before yesterday I took my sketch-book with me and went to go out just before the sun started to go down. I sat on the grass and tried REALLY HARD to find something inspiring. The sun was shining gently, and the wood around me whispered all kinds of "wild noices". I still couldn't find my lost inspiration, so I decided to go down on the grass and take a few deeep breath.
At the same second when I opened my eyes - laying on the green - my dear, little dog - Dinka - ran trought the garden and came to lip my face. My other dog, Roosa, was searching some dinner from the cranberrybush.
My two models decided to go hunting (for squirrels or rabbits) before I had drawn a single clear line. Later, when they came back, I noticed that I hadn't drawn enought "hair" and... well, I have always had this problem with smiling dogs.

Little ordinary things
Mirva posted a picture of herself so I guess I've got to do the same thing. This pic is taken this spring and my hair's much longer nowadays, thanks to Mirva... Someday I wanna have that nice punky hair cut again! (:
This will be one of the rare updates when I'm posting my photography in here. (Someone interested in more, just go http://blogmyblick.blogspot.com ;) Next time I'll do my best to have photos of what became of that showing in the picture. Oil paintings I painted a week ago.
The layout of this blog is still in progress, but I hope we'll have it finished in a couple of days. Today I'm not gonna be wasting anymore time sitting by the computer. School's about to begin (I have less than a week left) and I should tidy up my room before that :D It's such a mess... AND tonight we're gonna go over my friend's and watch Avatar (extended version) on blu-ray!
Mirva wrote about writing about (lol) the little things that make life great etc. Am I gonna write about the little things that make life miserable? No, but maybe ordinary things of my life, maybe not as deeply thought as Mirva's writings, but things, that made my day. Good or bad.

From Helsinki to Birmingham
So this is me (the middle one).
I have always thought blogging would not be my cup of tea. But here I am, writing this text and wondering what to say next. I may have to light up that little fact that I'm not "an artist" of an old style. I'm not very keen on oil-painting or things like that - from me you are probably gonna read about great little things of living. You don't have to be AmeliƩ to understand what a wonderful world out there is around you .
Well, I guess I have to admit I actually do some kind of "real art". Only way I like to express myself is drawing (by ordinary pen and copy paper etc.). So no fantastic artworks ahead on my updates. I leave that part for Ansku.
I still will be living here in Finland for two weeks, but at the 30th. of August I aim my course to Birmingham, GB. From there I'm gonna report more.

Rise and shine
Ha, I'm the first one to write in here!
This is us.This so-called art blog was born after Mirva told me about her idea. Since we both are artists and she's going to Britain for an exchange year, we decided to start writing a blog together. This will include posting also pictures etc. of our artwork. Mainly I like to call myself a musician and a photographer, but since I already have a photography blog of my own, I'm gonna start doing some more traditional art for this one. We'll see how productive I'm gonna be...
